First ever tumblr reblog!
WATCH THOSE KLOUT POINTS SOAR!
Not that the punctuation came through…
Next up should probably be a PICTURE of something. Who wants to see my socks?
Gengar
for this
I was reading about how the name for Lavender Town in the Japanese versions is baaaasically “Mt. Zion”. And then I googled a bunch of pictures of Israel and drew stuff.
I just finished my i am the city! #countyplus
Cable cross in the middle of the argyle. OK - so on the (12) row of the cross (middle 3 stitches), I held the first stitch in front, then knitted the next stitch. Then slipped the front stitch back onto the left needle and did a C2B. On the following round on the middle 5 stitches, I slipped the first 2 stitches and rearranged the middle stitch from the previous round as stitch #2 of the 5, so it was involved in the next cable. If I purled that stitch as per the pattern, I couldn’t get nice lines.
OR
Noticed that where the cables intersect in the middle of the purl diamond looked wonky on some of the socks, so I sorta changed the pattern ever so slightly: on row 12, cable left without knitting the front stitch, then use it to cable right with the next stitch. Not wonky, and the cable right stitches just leap right over the cable left ones.
To be fair, Englebert wasn’t helped by a goth stage setting! If the next act had turned up with a few torches they would have immediately outshone poor EH. Whereas this might have stood out in a barrage of glitz overload, going first was too much. Of course, nice old ladies looking cute and frail is far more milkable than someone far older from them doing a professional job and not milking his wrinkles for all they’re worth. (I’d argue Engel was a bit too “L.V” for EV. I dunno Tom, I don’t think your point fully stands up! Norway’s effort got nowhere, and the charts are full of it. Denmark’s awful effort could easily soundtrack anything morning/afternoon skit on T4. If anything I thought Sweden’s effort was a bit harsh, a bit too shiny. But I suppose we’re in the post-TWILIGHT world now, so gothy dancing and sparkles all the way~I am quite glad Pete never got round to doing his “Why Englebert is a good idea” piece for Freaky Trigger.
Anyway, entering a pop record which sounds like the pop records people in Europe are actually buying (i.e. “Starships” in this case) turns out to be a good idea - astonishing, I know.
